Osama bin Laden Has Left the Building

According to the reports Osama bin Laden was killed yesterday (Sunday, May 1) in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The news folks are warning everyone not to travel abroad as there may be some anti-American activity or retaliatory attacks. Warnings of terrorist attacks have also been mentioned.

The interesting thing here is the fact that the place bin Laden was killed was very close to a military base. For years Pakistan has vehemently denied any knowledge of bin Laden's whereabouts and here he was found not just within their borders but next to a military installation.

To make matters even worse the U.S. has given Pakistan close to a billion dollars every year to fight terrorism and to help in the search for bin Laden. This is likely to cause some serious issues between the U.S. and Pakistan.

Bin Laden's death and subsequent disappearance leaves many people with questions. Even though it was reported that genetic testing was done to assure the world this was in fact the man bin Laden I predict that there will be new conspiracy theories springing up to say that bin Laden is in hiding.

Perhaps Bin Laden is hanging out somewhere near Adolf Hitler. Hmmm, speaking of old Adolph isn't it an interesting thing to note that they were both killed on May 1?

Bin Laden has been implicated in a string of deadly attacks on the United States and its allies: the 1993 World Trade Center bombing; the 1998 bombings at the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania that killed more than 200; and the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen. Bin Laden also claimed responsibility for a 1993 gunfight that killed 18 U.S. troops in Somalia and the 1996 bombing of the Khobar military complex in Saudi Arabia that left 19 U.S. soldiers dead. Osama bin Laden, hunted as the mastermind behind the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil, has been killed, President Obama announced tonight. The president called the killing of bin Laden the "most significant achievement to date" in the effort to defeat al Qaeda.

"Justice has been done," Obama said.

Proudly declaring the killing of Osama bin Laden "a good day for America," President Barack Obama said Monday the world was a safer place without the world's most hunted terrorist. DNA testing helped confirm that American forces in Pakistan had in fact killed the mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, U.S. officials said, seeking to erase any doubt about the news that riveted the globe.

Who knows what changes this will bring to the daily news offerings but this was definitely big news for the weekend. But in the end most of us only know what they want us to know so always remember to be extra careful when making your judgments and decisions. Now go on, get out of here and go read something else. There is much more silly crap here than this.

Apologies for taking up your time with this. Now you can go back to Mr Sheen or the Royal Wedding or whichever celebrity is the bad guy this week.

Seriously though, thanks to anyone who reads my drivel here. You should be paid!

  1. Speaking of that...where's m' check? I expect 75 cents and two Donald Trump junk bonds POST HASTE!! A deal is a deal....(this guys' gonna wish someone else had followed his blog..seriously!)

Okay, to the very good points that you brought up..we know what they want us to know. Period. We can theorize, criticize, pontificate, reiterate, and buy an amplifier to amplify it some..but what it comes down to is we know what they want us to know.

My opinion? We should do what we should have been doing all along. Make our OWN part of the world better, because in the end..we have very little control over the rest. And of course as always..hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Now...where's that other silly crap on here? Can't never get enough o' silly crap...
